This society? Not Now, But Right Now. Half of us are ready to embrace the outside elements again. Some of us are just fine with being inside and isolated. I’d love to see everything back up and running.
Opening society back up just to have a full on flare up on coronavirus again in a few months would be madness. We’ve all seen reports of certain counties and states getting restless and opening up on their own. Our current head of state doesn’t make matters any easier telling people to liberate themselves of the same order he put it place and backed the states on. What’s needed is cool heads and common sense.
To disregard data would be to disregard lives in general. As a society we failed to prevent this from being here so it’s only right that we take our time to carefully deal with it. A fast solution to a slow problem doesn’t make any sense. We have been very blessed and somewhat spoiled in our day to day lives. I say that in regards to freedom of movement and having access to resources such as the internet and other platforms.
Life as we knew it before will of course be different upon re-opening but it won’t be totally strange. Let’s not make it anymore problematic than it already is at the moment. More testing, better containment and more agreements on all sides, from government to state. I look forward to the day that we can all go outside and be around one another without the fear of us killing ourselves. It’s not going to be an overnight or weekly wrap up.
